About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Product Development team. Our team develops the core software product at BASE. At BASE we value teamwork and analytical thinking.
Some of your responsibilities will be:
- Design and implement new features for software libraries.
- Technical lead and development of core modules and components in software projects.
- Develop and maintain tests (unit, integrations, system, etc.).
- Support bug-fixing activities.
- Evaluate, review, and refactor code produced by other colleagues.
- Mentor colleagues in the software development team.
What experiences do you bring?
- Software development using a statically typed language and Python.
- Experience in developing and maintaining a software repository.
- Experience in testing, debugging and troubleshooting code.
- Experience in developing software libraries.
- Knowledge of version control using Git.
- Knowledge and experience in software delivery models, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Unix operative system.
- Understanding of Agile working practices.
Additionally, the ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Data modelling using ER notation.
- Fluent in writing Python code.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Experience with working in regulated environment (GxP).
- Experience with building and delivering Python packages.
- Experience with tabular data manipulation (ETL pipelines).
